Split in Two

What do you do, oh, what do you do,
What do you do when you’re split in two?

Blissful visions of love, like a bird it flew
High, oh so high, into the sky – so blue.
Cheerless and chronic, you abhor the view:
Amnestic – experienced before but always new.
Eris threw the seed, in your home it grew,
Sensations rose – repressed to sit and stew.
Vibrations amplified and you knew:
There was nothing you could do.

The crimson mountain inevitably blew,
The flames ignite the air on cue,
Fighting fire with fire – an act you rue –
Abandon aggression, put on a new shoe:
Save whomever with your emergency crew.
When all is said and done, the survivors are so few
Vibrations restrained but you knew:
There was nothing you could do.

What do you do, oh, what do you do,
What do you do when you’re split in two?
