The colors combine and create,
Destroy and dismember,
To live in the gray
Is it moderation or surrender?
The light leads us through,
Serves as the immortal guide Virgil.
The dark breaks the chains,
Frees the wild side of thrill.
But the light leads a narrow corridor,
A thin line that must be followed,
The dark opens doorways to new worlds,
The freedom of decision is highly valued.
But this midnight thrill ride
Can lead to disaster and depression,
Without the light to guide
You wander wearily without a mission.
This mixture of the pure and the corrupt,
A necessary concoction of life,
For what is light without dark?
What is reward without strife?
